After growing up in Littleton, Colorado, and graduating with an Engineering degree from the Colorado School of Mines, I escaped to Salida in 1999 and worked for a local engineering firm. After growing up in Littleton, Colorado, and graduating with an Engineering degree from the Colorado School of Mines, I escaped to Salida in 1999 and worked for a local engineering firm. Then in 2002, I shifted careers and joined Chaffee County Government as the engineer and planning director. Professional and personal opportunities took me to Summit County in 2014. I found my way back home to Salida in 2023, serving as the Chaffee County Administrator for two and a half years.  After 23 years of public service in local government, I am focused on serving my community in a new way - using my knowledge of local planning, building, and land use codes to help people find their Salida home.

In my spare time, you can find me at Monarch in the winter, on the river in the summer, or sampling a local craft beer any time of the year. My wife and I also enjoy traveling to places where we can get underwater and scuba dive, which gives us an appreciation of many different cultures around the world. I also closely watch my son's progress through his career in the Navy, and try to keep up with my daughter's vagabond world travels.
